COMPANY SECRETARIAL

The firm offers company secretarial services to corporate entities from various sectors of the economy such as oil and gas, telecommunication, publishing, manufacturing, trade, banking, media etc…. In this regard, the firm offers services which cover attendance of board and other meetings, filing of appropriate statutory returns at the Corporate Affairs Commission, Securities and Exchange Commission and other bodies: nominee arrangements, trusteeship and general legal advice.

INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND INVESTMENT

We represent clients in the manufacturing trading, technology, construction and service sectors who wish to establish business in Nigeria either in partnership Nigeria or through companies wholly owned by non-Nigerians. We also assist clients in areas requiring compliance with requisite Nigerian investment laws and business regulations. These include obtaining of all the requisite business permits and/or expatriate quota allocations and certificate of capital importation.

LITIGATION/ARBITRATION

The firm’s expertise handles actual arbitration matters. The firm constantly seeks to achieve commercial solutions to business disputes spanning various national and international jurisdictions. Save for exceptional circumstances where recourse to litigation or arbitration has become a must option, our approach is to generally strive to amicably resolve conflicts and disputes involving our clients. Where the need arises, the firm is able to conduct litigation in most of the superior courts in Nigeria. The firm has attorneys, who have over the years acquired the requisite skills, ensuring in the process that litigation where resorted to has little or no disruptive effect on clients’ business or other activity.

GENERAL CORPORATE/COMMERCIAL LAW

Advice on matters falling within the General Corporate governances and Commercial law and related issues including matters under the Companies and Allied Matters Act, concerning the operations of business in Nigeria, such as the establishment and maintenance of companies whether indigenous or subsidiaries/local affiliates of foreign companies, joint ventures, sale of goods, leases and assets purchase etc. We provide legal opinions covering commercial and financial transactions and documentation where necessary. Corporate services covering company formation and operation, company searches, due diligence and verification.
